Ria and BankIslami Pakistan launch new payout service

BankIslami Pakistan and Ria have announced they will offer money transfer payout services in Pakistan through the bank’s 317 branches, located across 93 cities.

The new agreement allows customers all over the world to send money to their friends and family in Pakistan, safely and conveniently. Beneficiaries can now collect cash in minutes from bank branches without the need for an account, while account holders can also have funds deposited directly to their account.

The bank is committed to innovation, and after launching in 2006, have grown in size to operate the country’s 11th largest banking network. They were also the first bank in Pakistan to launch biometric-enabled cardless ATMs, providing customers’ access to their accounts using just their thumbprint.

In Karachi, Pakistan, senior members from BankIslami along with Ria’s Business Development Director for South Asia, Suhail Shamsi, met to celebrate the signing of the agreement.
