Ria Money Transfer sponsors French Football Club FC Lorient

Ria has just become the newest sponsor of French first division football team, FC Lorient.

During a press conference, Fabrice Bocquet, General Manager for FC Lorient, said he was delighted to have Ria’s support and explained what it meant to the club: “We are very pleased to welcome Ria Money Transfer to the FC Lorient family. Both entities are considered to be dynamic and ambitious challengers.

“We are both multicultural companies – our people come from a multitude of nationalities – and we also share the same colour, orange. For these reasons, the association between the two companies seems like a good fit. The aim is for this partnership to build over time, as with all our Sponsors,” he concluded.

Juan Bianchi, CEO and President of Ria Money Transfer, agreed there was a natural fit, adding: “This is the first time Ria has agreed to sponsor a top-tier football team and we’re pleased to partner with FC Lorient. There are many shared qualities between Ria and FC Lorient, which compelled our decision to become sponsors of their 2016/2017 season. Despite being in the 91st largest city in France, FC Lorient has been in Ligue1 for 11 years, a division which is followed and enjoyed by millions – including our customers – all around the world.

“Their ranking is a result of their work ethic, commitment, and dedication to being the best in their craft, which also embodies Ria’s company values. We wish them a successful season and also welcome them to the Ria family.”

José Cabral, European Managing Director for Ria Money Transfer, who was present in Lorient for the formalization of the contract, said of the partnership: “It’s a pleasure for us to be an official sponsor of FC Lorient. We chose FC Lorient not only for the colour but also because both our staff are young, dynamic and share the same values. We see this opportunity as a real boost for Ria, with our goal to strengthen our visibility at a national and international level.

“It’s a dream come true,” concluded Cabral.
